Idea for a Viral Advert

If i were to make a viral advertisement for our film, I could create a 'fake' detective/police website which contains an investigation regarding the killing of  'Carlos Sanchez.' On this website there could be clues about the killing which viewers are able to piece together to win tickets to see the film.

Possible clues to the film could be, the 'shares' of partners, 'Carlos' and 'Quinceys' business dropping. Due to one of the partners being killed.
Another could be different radio trailers from 'MaxxFM' (the in-film radio trailer) talking about a businessman being killed in the bathroom of his own companies building, with only a bullet shell found next to the body.
Also a later report 3 years after on a car found outside the same building that 'Carlos' was killed with the driver found 500 yards away in a car park who had been show twice, once in the leg then the second in the head.

With all these, there could be hints the a locations, dates, and times which is where people will be awarded with merchandise and tickets.

Viral Advertising Reseach

Viral Marketing is a marketing strategy that focuses on spreading information and opinions about a product or service from person to person, especially by using unconventional means such as the Internet or email, this type of marketing depends on a high pass-along rate from person to person. If a large percentage of people forward something to a large number of friends, the overall growth snowballs very quickly. If the pass-along numbers get too low, the overall growth quickly fizzles. it is because of this reason that the people that start the advertisement need to make it engaging and easily accessible to the public.

The following website shows past examples of popular and successful viral advertising schemes for a variety of  products.

A2 Media Progress Diary 7

A2 Media Progress Diary (19/02/15-19/03/15)

Since the last post the final cut of the film has been completed and added to youtube. From this James has created a questionnaire for to be added to the youtube video to get the audiences opinions of the film. After completing the film, Max has been busy creating a radio trailer that would be used to advertise our film. I have also created a poster to advertise our film. Also during this time we have been catching up on any blog work we have missed while we were busy filming and editing our film. As all the main tasks have been completed the next few weeks will also be dedicated to completing blog work and completing the evaluation questions before the imminent deadline.

Film Poster Design

When designing this poster I wanted to incorporate motifs from our film which is why the gun, clip, bullets, phone and stamp are included.
If I were to do this poster again, using a programme such as photoshop, I would probably have all the cast members faces with in the stamp, replacing the queens face. I planned to do the same this time but my drawing capabilities aren't good enough to draw us by hand.
The idea of having the stamp is good because is symbolises the 'post' and 'mail' aspect that our film has from the hitmans delivery.
