Editing/Filming Idea

In one of the scenes in our film there is a chase between two characters, the hitman and Quincy Kent. This results is a stand off between two characters at which point the hitman gets shot. Some of the most famous stand off scenes in films come from western films. When we thought of western films the first thing we thought of was Clint Eastwood. So we did a bit of research into him and his films.

While researching his s films we found this shot from one of his films.

This shot was from one of the scenes in the 1964 film A Fist Full Of Dollars. We likes this shot and thought it would be something we could incorporate into our film. This shot is good because it fits both character into the frame, however one is cut off so their identity is a mystery. This would be good as we need to keep the identity of the character shooting the gun in our film secret for a bit to build suspense. Also if done in a certain way we will be able to film through one of the characters legs which would cover up the other character being shot so less fake blood would need to be used.
