Iconography of Action/Thriller

Action: In action films there are many things that you would expect to see, some are fast cars, guns, explosions ect. iconography is used in films to give a fast stereo types so that the film makers can spend more time adding depth/story into the film than making sure that the viewer is keeping up with the genre Throughout the film these items will be implemented for this reason purely, they can also be added to let the viewer see these 'cool; things and maybe strive to have them themselves, this happens in films like 'James Bond' where things such as Phones, Cars, Watches and Alcohol can be shown as advertisement for several companies, this mainly happens in action films. Thriller: This genre is more shady so would replace desirable items with sinister environments, for example the stereotype of a Thriller would be 'someone in a dark outfit walking up to a small house on a rainy night' this gives a mysterious effect and could hint to the viewer any danger that may lay ahead, this gives the a sense if suspense throughout the film.

In our film it would be good to have the iconography environments of the Thriller genre so that we can easily create suspense without too much build up as we only have 5 minutes for the whole film, we will also give characters set items so that we can create the character into a stereotype without having to setup too much development for them and being able to focus more in the story.
